Linda Kristin Blix studied art, majoring in printmaking, painting and drawing at The University of Manitoba, School of Fine Arts and at The Ontario
College of Art and Design, where she graduated with honours in 1997.
Linda has worked for many years as a professional artist utilizing the creative tools of printmaking, painting, drawing, photography, pottery and
three-dimensional construction.
Combining mediums in original and unique manners has been her artistic focus. Curosity, and excitement in the development of new techniques, has
influenced her own work and made for unusual and creatively satisfying projects for her students.
Linda has been a teacher at Open Studio, a printmaker's co-op, McMichael Canadian Art Collection and a wide variety of educational institutions and
Galleries. She has conducted several Ontario Arts Council Artist in Education Programs.
Igniting a creative spark, encouraging students of all ages to use their own creativity, sharing her technical knowledge and her passion for art bring
Linda immense satisfaction.
