Linda Hrynyk was raised in Newmarket, Ontario. Her love of art was established there by her parents ongoing encouragement at a very young age. She was continually painting, drawing and always involved in some sort of art classes while growing up. Unfortunately, due to her father's sudden death at an early age, she never had the opportunity to share in her achievements in the art field.

A graduate of Fanshawe College in London, she abandoned her earlier career plans and moved to Muskoka in 1983. It was her love of nature that drew her north and it was at this time that she decided to try her hand at clay. She enrolled in a ceramics and glass program at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario. In 1985, her clay studio opened in Gravenhurst. Now a full-time studio potter, Linda has an exceptional number of patrons who enjoy her unique style. You'll see glazes ranging from black and gold to Wedgewood blues and greys, both in functional and one-of-a-kind pieces.

"My reward as an artist comes from the very close ties I develop with the people who appreciate and support my cause. It's the positive feedback from the people that is the greatest driving force behind my work!"
